What is NEMT?
NEMT is an acronym for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation. This specialized medical transportation service for people provides assistance for clients needing to get to scheduled medical appointments.
Am I eligible for NEMT services?
Most patients who qualify for Medicaid (or those who have specific health concerns) are eligible for NEMT.
What services are provided by NEMT?
We provide a door-to-door NEMT service, ensuring that our clients can enjoy comfort with every trip.
How much does NEMT cost?
The cost will depend on the type of vehicle required and distance traveled. Go to the book a ride page to get an exact quote.
Which areas do you operate in?
We currently service most cities in Texas including Houston, Victoria, Sugarland, Pasadena, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, McAllen, Brownsville, Dallas, The Woodlands, and Katy.
Are your drivers certified?
All of our drivers have been trained for non-emergency and emergency situations.
Do you provide rides for wheelchair patients?
We provide ambulatory and wheelchair van rides for our wheelchair-bound clients who cannot transfer.
How do I schedule my NEMT transport?
You can do so via our app or our website platform.
Which vehicles do you have available for transport?
When booking you can select either our saloon and sedan option, or van. Kindly note that for group bookings we can accommodate up to eight passengers per slot.
Are your drivers available for pharmacy visits as well?
We can assist with these types of visits as well as others such as shopping trips.
What are your service hours?
Clients can book their rides 24-hours a day through our app, or call in to book a ride. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Central Time seven days a week.
How far in advance should I book my ride?
Ideally, 24-hours ahead of time.
What happens when I want to cancel a trip?
There is a 24-hour advance notice to cancel rides at no charge. Changes can be made with no charge, as long as the ride remains on the same day. Cancellations within the same day will cost the amount of a one-way trip of the ride booked.
What are the options for payment?
Facilities under contract will be invoiced for all services rendered during the previous month on a NET 10,15 or 20 term. They will be able to pay outstanding invoices by ACH or check. Individuals booking directly through the app will be able to add their credit or debit card in their profile on the app to be charged after the ride. They will also be able to call in and pay via credit or debit card.
Do you provide wheelchairs for clients who need them during transportation?
Yes, we provide wheelchairs for clients who do not have one available for transportation. This is a $29 additional charge.
I would like a family member or caregiver to accompany me during a ride, what will the charge be?
Clients can have family members or caregivers accompany them on their rides with no extra charge.
Do you have caregivers available that can accompany patients on rides?
Yes, we provide caregivers at additional charge to accompany clients on rides. At least a 24-hour booking notice is required and a 4 hour minimum for the caregiver.
