How to Request a Free Ride to Your Early Voting Location

As part of its 'Free Early Voting Rides Program', Kerico N.E.M.T Services is offering free rides to and from early voting locations for seniors aged 60 and over and the disabled in the Texas cities of Houston, Sugarland, Pasadena, Katy, The Woodlands, Richmond, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, McAllen, and Brownsville. Below you’ll find information about how to schedule your ride, where to find your county’s early voting locations, and their hours of operation.

How to Request a Free Ride to an Early Voting Location and Program Eligibility


Eligible voters can call Kerico Health Care toll free at 1-877-353-9857 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CDT between September 20 - 30 to schedule their ride. Early voting in most Texas counties starts on October 13. Eligibility and rules for the Free Early Voting Rides Program include:

  • Riders must be any disabled voter or voter 60 years or older who live in Houston, Sugarland, Pasadena, Katy, The Woodlands, Richmond, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, McAllen, or Brownsville, Texas who need help visiting their early voting location.

  • Rides must be scheduled and confirmed at least a week ahead of time.

  • Recipients must provide a voting sticker or proof they voted to get a return ride.

  • Trips to the early voting location must be to the closest polling site to the recipient’s home.

  • Recipients must be registered to vote prior to scheduling a ride.

  • Recipients must wear a mask during the entire drive and follow all CDC guidelines.

  • Recipients must be ready at scheduled time or the driver may proceed to their next ride after a 5 min wait time.

  • Rides are subject to driver availability, and/or until all available rides have been scheduled.

Early Voting Locations and Dates for Houston Area Cities and Counties


Houston, Pasadena, Katy (Harris County) - October 13 - October 30

The Harris County Clerk website features an interactive map to help voters find a location closest to their home. To find an early voting location, voters can visit the Harris County Clerk website, click on 'Polling Locations' to view the interactive map, toggle the Early Voting button, and enter an address to find the closest early voting location.


Sugarland, Katy, Richmond (Fort Bend County) - October 19 - October 30

Bend County does not yet have information on their website about early voting locations. Visit the Fort Bend County website for more information about when it becomes available.


The Woodlands (Montgomery County) - October 13 - October 30

The Montgomery County website features an Early Voting Polling locations page with locations and hours of operation.


Beaumont (Jefferson County) - October 13 - October 30

Corpus Cristi (Nueces County) - October 13 - October 30
